In the past I have tried other natural forms of natural flea and tick control like Diatomaceous earth, garlic, Borax, flea collars, pyrethrum, Pennyroyal and others. They did not work and most of them were problematic. After using diatomaceous earth my lungs burned for two days. Borax created a nasty mess and smell all over the house too. Cedar oil works GREAT though. Bugs run like hell!
Apply the oil all over your pet OUTSIDE. (As soon as the oil hits the pet, the bugs will evacuate so you don’t want to apply it in the house!) Then thoroughly brush it into the fur. Re-apply once or twice a week during the peak season for bugs in your area.
